Sometimes... a song makes me happy... even if i've heard it 50 million times. one of those songs is The Wind by Cat Stevens... its beautiful simple sweet.
another song is Oh Yoko by John Lennon...
is it a coincidence that they are both on the Rushmore Soundtrack or does Wes Anderson really know how to create a work of beauty that is the mixed tape?
why is Oh Yoko one of my favorite songs? Cause now even after over 30 Years of Mr Lennon being dead. I still whenever I hear this song I like to think that somewhere John Lennon is in a cloud in heaven saying her name... and somewhere Ms. Yoko Ono is smiling... (3:09) it is the third verse.
Amy's Keys to success like stuff: (no particular order)
Persistence -- Is important... but it's a tricky thing... you will always fail if you never attempt. but then again sometimes too much is not always a good thing
have a bucket List try to cross one thing off a month/a year/decade ---
Try to always be cheerful and positive... - charisma and positivity are addictive.
Remember that you can never please everybody... work on making yourself happy and fuck the lot of them.
Give back to society. - not like in an oprah way. just try to do little things to make the world a better place. whether it is through work or donating $ or time.
pets really are awesome... and make you feel better so don't give me crap that ooh im allergic. yes there maybe pets out there that due to dander or something you don't tolerate WITH THAT BEING Said... there is always some kind of pet out there for you maybe you need something non-traditional like a bird, hegehog, or a fish
Treat people how you want to be treated. - YES I know it's the golden rule but it wouldn't be the Golden Rule if it wasn't pretty darn important.
Be Honest and Trustworthy, Loyal and to make sure you give a damn.
Never Underestimate the Power of a Good CRY NAP LAUGH or DANCE PARTY
Try hard to take care of yourself... it is way to easy to get caught up and forget about things that you need to do on a daily basis to keep you sane... but do it and you'll feel better (which also this link is a fantastic dance party song)
realize there are people who deserve second chances maybe even third chances and there are people who don't. - the people who don't - it may take you those three chances to realize that they didn't deserve it but you attempted in making something work even when it didn't, so here's for trying let it go and move on.
forgiveness is important too. in any relationship. don't be afraid to ask for it and I'd say hopefully you'll get it.
Admit when you are being a PRAT or a KNOBHEAD. appologies can go along way
Don't ever apologize for being you. (there is a slight difference there.)
I guess always be improving...
and I'm spent for now... I hope you enjoy this. <3 Amy
I saw never underestimate the power of a good nap dance! I had to reread it lol
